Barb in 2020

Since the Covid-19 pandemic has taken hold, BARB IN 2020 has been postponed until we are able to congregate once more without fear of infecting each other. We were hoping for a September show, but the Covid clouds have not yet cleared so we are postponing the event again. So WATCH THIS SPACE for the new date.

BARB IN 2020 may end up turning into BARB IN 2021, but it WILL HAPPEN!

In 1968 Barbarella saved the universe from Durand Durand and his evil Positronic Ray with her unique brand of innocence, charm and sex appeal. In 2020 she’s back, with an all new cast of voices and a brand new soundtrack that brings her incomparable talents into the 21st Century!

BARB IN 2020 takes the original film and re-dubs it with all-new voices and a completely new soundtrack. DJ Pete Ellison provides the backing to this classic B-movie sci-fi romp, with his eclectic style of music that runs from reggae to rap, funk to techno, and everything in between. Showing on Saturday, 4th April 2020 for one night only at the Whirled Cinema in South London, Pete will perform his soundtrack live with the film. And after Barbarella has charmed your socks off, the party won’t stop there. Pete and fellow DJs (tbc) will continue to rock your night into the wee hours with a funky blend of techno tunes and eclectic grooves. So dust off your 60’s space boots, channel your inner sex-kitten and join Barbarella on her quest to save the universe!
